I am a third year PhD Student in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University, where I am fortunate to be advised by Mateo Díaz. Previously, I completed an MSc in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Mathematical and Computational Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where I was advised by Carlos Sing Long.

My research interests lie at the interplay between optimization and statistics, with applications in machine learning and signal processing. Most of my current work centers on designing and analyzing large-scale first-order optimization algorithms. I also enjoy mathematical modeling and collaborating on interdisciplinary projects.
